ok- so I know many of you would like to know what is going on thus far and I am not a huge fan of posting my whole life on Facebook! (Although- I do tend to facebook stalk those who do post their whole life on fb! ;) )
Well, I have had many people ask me to create a blog to help them keep up with what is going on so I am going to try this- it may be interesting and I will try to keep up with it!
First, Yes- Devin and I are about to have our first child and this process began like this!
We had been discussing children and decided that we would begin praying about it around the end of April first part of May and see what the Lord has for us and on June 18th 2011 we found out we were pregnant, a little unexpectant, but REALLY REALLY excited. At first we could not believe it and it took about 5 pregnacy test to finally convience us we were probably pregnant and need to make a doctors appointment!
That same weekend my parents were up here and we decided to go ahead and tell them because the doctor whom I would be seeing is back home and well... mom would be angry if I came home and didn't tell her I was there and we wanted to tell both of my parents at the same time so we came up with a plan...
Since Father's day was close we decided that we would get my mom and dad a babies outfit with one saying "Grandma" and one saying "Grandpa" on it and pretend that we just got Dad a father's day gift and just happened to get mom something too! Well- dad just stared at the outfit and said "mmmm" (He is a man of few words and things take time to sink in sometimes :) ) mom on the other hand... she stared at it then looked at me with disbelief and began screaming and crying. (This is their first grandchild so they are a little excited!)
